Witton Castle in County Durham is the venue for many equestrian competitions including international three day events. This video by club member Arthur Best records the much more informal steeplechase meet of the local Hunt, the crowds, the bookies and the excitement of the race.

 

In a previous arms race, the Armstrong 100 ton gun was the nuclear deterrent of its day. The danger was short lived but required dramatic measures to counter the threat. This short video by Arthur Best is of his visit to the Rinella fort in Malta where he saw an example of the gun in action.

A short film to explore what the Pharoah's might see and think if their "afterlife" was on earth. The photos were taken on three holidays to Luxor between 2004 and 2007. I suspect the statue isn't Ramesis III and also doubt that the palace was his - but .........

 The note at the end of the film explains the reference to "Audacity"
 

The island of Spinalonga (official name: Kalidon) is located at the eastern section of Crete, near the town of Elounda. It's the setting for Victoria Hislop's bestselling novel called "The Island".  Harry and Pat Lobley tell it's amazing story.
